Jason Palmer has 13 years’ experience as a researcher and consultant. His doctorate focused on environmental management for smaller organisations, and since then he has focused mainly on sustainable construction.
Dr David Pencheon
David Pencheon is a UK trained Public Health Doctor and is currently Director of the NHS Sustainable Development Unit (England) [NHS SDU].
Helen Krzanowski
Helen Krzanowski completed a MSc in Environmental Studies at the University of Southampton in 2003 and went on to start work later that year as Sustainable Development Advisor for Southampton City Council Sustainability Team. In 2007 Helen also completed a part time MA in Planning Policy and Practice at London South Bank University.
Stephen Heard
Stephen Heard joined the NHS in Oct 2008 as Director of Contracts and Performance at NHS Cambridgeshire (NHSC). He has, since June 2010, been on secondment to the East of England SHA where he is deploying his procurement and commissioning skills and experience across three of the QIPP workstreams namely; Procurement, Pathology and Prescribing.
Baroness Barbara Young
Barbara Young’s started her career in public relations and in health services management.
Lorraine Holme
Lorraine worked for 15 years at Barnsley HA primarily within the capital planning team. Transferred to Barnsley Social Services Dept in the role of Senior Registration and Inspection Officer and after a brief spell as a business manager, Lorraine moved to what is now the Dep’t of Health Estates &Facilities Division and is currently the Sustainable Development Manager.
Tess Gill
Tess Gill has been the Work and Skills Commissioner for the Sustainable Development Commission since 2006 and is currently the lead Commissioner on Health. She chaired the Commission's review on public sector regulators which reported in 2009.
Andy Johnston
Andy Johnston is Head of the Centre for Local Sustainability at the Local Government Information Unit. He is responsible for developing strategy, policy and practical solutions for local authorities wishing to improve their environment.
Neil Cross
Having been a Civil Servant working on the Sustainable Development Agenda for many years, Neil took up his new role as Sustainable Development and Energy Manager at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust in 2007. Neil has significant experience in the Sustainability agenda with a specialist area being that of Waste Management.
